THE police have arrested a prominent Labasa businessman over an alleged $1 million scam.
Spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the man was in custody. Police also questioned a few witnesses early this week and seized a truck-load of vehicle parts as part of the investigation.
Insp Sokomuri had also said some of the witnesses included former workers of the businessman.
This is the second alleged scam involving a substantial amount of money being investigated by Labasa police within a week.
