THE Nasinu Netball Association (NNA) has identified weaknesses in its teams after playing a warm-up match against Navosa last weekend at the National Netball Centre in Suva.
Both sides are preparing for the National Netball Championships in Suva later this month.
NNA president Alini Sovu said this was the only warm-up game they would have as they aim to name their final squads by next week.
She said Navosa brought their A, B, three under-21s and two men's teams for the warm-up games and Nasinu fielded their A, B, two under-21 and invited the Nasinu men's and the Tailevu men's teams to play against the Navosa.
"Firstly, it was more of a learning experience for the Navosa teams as they wanted to try out the turf because they normally play their competition on grass courts," Sovu said.
"Secondly, it was the first time they were exposed to playing 15 minute quarters which was new to them and besides, it was good for them because it is how it will be played during the National Championships," she said.
She said Navosa helped them identify some weaknesses that would be rectified in the upcoming weeks.
The National Championship will be held on August 24 and 25 at the National Netball Centre.
