A POLITICAL party has reaffirmed the names of its executives.
Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua Party yesterday announced that jailed former prime minister Laisenia Qarase remained party leader.
The SDL Party reassured its members and supporters that because of the circumstances surrounding its party leader Laisenia Qarase, it had, according to its revised constitution, had elected office bearers to continue to administer the affairs of the party. Party president Solomoni Naivalu said said paramount chief Ro Teimumu Kepa was patron while Ro Dona Takalaiyale was party vice president.
"They have been assisted by the senior executives who are responsible for the administrative and daily organisational affairs of the party," Mr Naivalu said in a statement.
"In the last few weeks, the party has been finalising its submission to the Constitution Review Commission." He said the party continued to provide relevant services to its members.
