GOVERNMENT commercial entities need to move with time in order to better its services to Fiji, Minister for Works Colonel Timoci Natuva said.
In his opening address at the launch of the Water Authority of Fiji website in Suva last week, Col. Natuva said civil servants and workers of government commercial entities needed to work towards international benchmarks such as higher standards, increased productivity and effective work systems, adding that it was the way forward.
He said the People's Charter for Change clearly set out the government's vision which aimed to improve the service delivery of public sectors.
"In addition, it must meet the expectations of the people of Fiji," Col. Natuva said.
Technology should be adequate to be able to support an initiative by any organisation to better its customer services, he said.
Col. Natuva said the ministry continued to look for improved ways to better its services to the people of Fiji with the use of modern technology and communication.
