Roy in Fiji team

NEW Zealand-based Roy Krishna is the lone overseas player named in the 25 member Fiji squad to take on the touring Play Fair Brazil team next month.

A total of nine Fiji Under-23 players have been included in the team. They are Akuila Mateisuva, Remueru Tekiata, Archie Watkins, Peniame Drova, Ilisoni Logaivou, Laisenia Raura, Zibraaz Sahib, Taione Kerevanua and Misaele Draunibaka.

Fiji Football Association vice president and national team director Tarunesh Reddy said the squad had a blend of youth and experience.

He said the aim was to give the young players a chance of lifetime to rub shoulders with some top class players.

Reddy said the team would march into camp in Ba on August 13.

The first match is scheduled to be held at Churchill Park in Lautoka on August 23 while the second game will be played at Govind Park in Ba two days later.

The tour is being organised by Suva based Edge Management Group and the Adventure Management Group which is based in the United States of America.
