School marks Tilak Day

STUDENTS of Tilak High School in Lautoka marked Tilak Day on July 23.

The school commemorated the 156th birthday of Bal Gangadhar Tilak with prayers and performances by the school mandali.

Bal Gangadhar Tilak was a renowned Indian nationalist, teacher, social reformer, lawyer and independence fighter who was the first leader of the Indian Independence Movement.
