THE search continues for the 28-year-old fisherman who has been missing at sea since Thursday.
Police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomurui said they were working closely with the Fiji Navy to locate the fisherman.
The fisherman went missing near Toguru Beach in Navua, four km away from Toguru Village after the open boat powered by a 40HP Yamaha outboard motor he was travelling in capsized.
The man was accompanied by two others aged 20 and 32 years all of Tokotoko Village on a fishing trip.
The rough seas capsized the boat and the two other fishermen managed to swim for four hours, safely to shore.
The 28-year-old man was last seen hanging on to an icebox drifting towards Yanuca Island.
"We are advising people living along the coastal areas of Yanuca to keep a look-out and inform their nearest community post or police station," Insp Sokomuri said.
