APART from selling cars and promoting their company, staff of Asco Motors in Labasa took time out on Saturday to paint a classroom at Labasa School for Special Education.

The activity was part of the company's community service in trying to help the less fortunate in society.

Company regional manager northern Mohammed Anwar said this was the second time they visited the school.

"We visited the school last year and painted one classroom and this year, we thought of doing the same because we want to assist the students," Mr Anwar said. "When students come on Monday, at least they will be greeted with a new look which will motivate them to study hard.

"This is part of our social corporate responsibilities as we try to assist people with the little that we have," he said.

School teacher Jagannath Jack said they were grateful for the timely help.

"We approached the company early this year and it's really good news that they responded to us efficiently," Mr Jack said.

"This new look allows students to study in a serene and composed environment. We thank the company and we hope they will continue to assist us in the future."
