A man was rushed to the Lautoka Hospital last night for emergency treatment after two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision at the Sabeto junction in Nadi.
When contacted last night, a doctor at the Lautoka Hospital confirmed that an accident case was being attended to. The Fiji Times arrived at the scene minutes after the man was put into a car by bystanders and rushed to the Lautoka Hospital.
The man, whose identity has yet to be confirmed, was visibly in pain after sustaining a head injuries in the accident that happened about 7.30pm.
Witness Sailasa Natalawaqa said the man was a passenger in a white Toyota vehcile with three other men who were on their to Lautoka.
The car landed in a four metre ditch on impact.
Police spokeswoman West Naina Ragigia said police would investigate the accident.
