Training for govt bodies

CUSTOMER service training that will soon be rolled out to regulatory organisations at the Nadi International Airport could be introduced to other governmental agencies in future.

Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made the comment at a press conference in Nadi after the launch of the Fijian Hosts Customer Service Program last week.

The program, which is designed to raise customer service standards at the country's busiest port of entry, is modelled on the Starwood Group of Hotels' international customer service delivery platform and is scheduled to be rolled out later this month.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum emphasised the need for tourists and locals alike to be given the same level of service and the overwhelming need for a good customer service delivery culture to be inculcated into all government agencies.
