Former national sevens rep Jiuta Lutumailagi will be donning his favourite no. 10 jersey for Nadroga against Nadi in round eight of the Digicel Cup Competition this afternoon at Lawaqa Park.

Lutumailagi was involved in a road accident in 2010 where he received multiple injuries that left him bedridden for the last twelve months and out of rugby for two years.

But he told Times Sports yesterday he had fully recovered and was ready to play again.

A couple of weeks ago he ended Davetalevu rugby club's unbeaten run in the Nadroga club competition after slotting in two crucial penalty kicks that gave his Tovolea side victory.

"Iam ready to play rugby for my province again as I have fully recovered from injuries that I received after the accident." said Lutumailagi.

"I know it won't be easy making it back to the top as there are promising young players who have been playing exceptionally well since I was out but I have to prove my worth to the coaches to get back in the main team"

The 28-year-old Nadroumai rugger said he had learnt his mistakes after the accident and thanks the Almighty for sparring his life.

Coach Esala Nauga has named cool-headed Jonetani Ratu outside Lutumailagi at inside centre and robust Nasama villager Jovesa Kunawave at centre threequarter.

Nauga said Nadi was traditionally one of the country's superpower in rugby and Nadroga always respected their rugby neighbour.

"Nadi always plays rugby with a lot of passion and we have a lot of respect for them .

"But our boys have not played at Lawaqa Park for quite a while now and also we would want to give our loyal fans some good rugby to watch so Iam iviting all rugby lovers of Nadroga to come and support their team."

Former Fying Fijian flanker Rupeni Nasiga will lead the side from his lock position where he will partner Asaeli Boko.

Four under-18 secondary schools teams for the newly formed Nadroga/Navosa Secondary Rugby Union will play curtain-raiser prior to the main game this afternoon.

NNSRU spokesman Jotame Turagasila said the four teams had reached the semifinal stage.

'The first game will be between U18 Cuvu College vs NNPHS at 0845 while the second game between U18 Lomawai Secondary and U18 Lomary at 1015am.' said Turagasila.
