Senior Citizens
THE Fiji Sport Council (FSC) has introduced a health and fitness program especially for senior citizens. The daily program involves basic body exercises, flexibility exercises, pool recovery, tai chi and yoga and will be held at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre from July 9 till July 31. The charges for the program are $2 per person.
Social games
BADMINTON Fiji hosts social games every Friday from 6pm-8pm at the Yat Sen School Hall. Registration is $3 per participant. Contact Carlene Bentley on 9331063. Badminton Fiji will hold coaching clinics every Saturday morning. All equipment will be provided. 9am to 10am - Kids Clinic; 10am - 12 midday - Development training. Contact Carlene Bentley on 9331063. The initiative is to help with the revival of the sport in Suva.
7-a-side
THE Tailevu Naitasiri Football Association 7-a-side tournament will be played on Sunday at the Pt Shreedhar Maharaj College ground. Games will be played in pool format and only TNFA club players are eligible to play. Teams have to clear their dues before the start of game and can register up to 15 players. Registration is $50 per team. Grace period
BECAUSE of poor attendance from the club officials, the games committee has issued a notice as per discussion at the executive meeting for teams to be eligible for quarter-final draws, all teams participating in the Rewa Rugby Union club competition will have to pay their outstanding registration fee. Failure to do so will result in their elimination. The grace period for the payment ends today.
