Cellphone giants give away Brazil match tickets

VODAFONE users can get a chance to watch the Fiji versus Play Fair Brazil soccer side matches for free next month.

As part of their sponsorship, Vodafone has secured 600 grandstand and 50 VIP tickets for the Play Fair Brazil Soccer tour to Fiji.

The telecommunication giants are now offering those tickets to its customers through a text and win promotion.

Head of Vodafone VAS and Corporate Affairs, Shailendra Prasad said, "we are delighted to be part of this first ever tour of a Brazilian Soccer side to Fiji".

"The Brazilians are renowned world over and admired for their samba brand of football. It would be a privilege to watch a Brazilian soccer side in action on our own turf," he said in a statement.

"We therefore would like to provide the opportunity to as many of our soccer fans and our customers to be part of this historic occasion." To participate in the promotion, all Vodafone network users have do is to text BRAZIL to short code number 362 to find out instantly through a return text message if they had been lucky.

Vodafone is also working with tour organiser's Edge Management Group to ensure some exclusive offers for the tickets winners for a memorable experience and a chance to meet the stars of the team including photo sessions.

The promotion kick started on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian side will play Fiji at Churchill Park in Lautoka on August 23 and at Govind Park in Ba on August 25.
