BOLLYWOOD film and television producer Ekta Kapoor is keen to shoot some of her films in Fiji.
Ms Kapoor, the producer of the upcoming Kya Super Cool Hain Hum film, made the comment to Fiji's High Commissioner in India, Yogesh Karan, on Monday.
Mr Karan said Ms Kapoor's visit to the High Commission was great news for Fiji, especially for the country's film industry.
Ms Kapoor's visit to the High Commission in New Delhi was made possible by Mohammed Shakil Saifi, director of Saifi Films and Advisory Panel Member of the Central Board of Film Certification in Delhi.
"We have invited her to produce some of her films or television serials in Fiji," said Mr Karan while hosting Ms Kapoor and her team.
"This is the first time she is visiting a diplomatic mission and it is great news for Fiji.
"We're privileged to have the opportunity to be the first ever diplomatic mission in India to host her."
Ms Kapoor, the joint managing director of Balaji Telefilms, one of the biggest production houses in the Hindi film industry, said she loved taking her films to places of the Indian diaspora.
"I always want my films to be shot in places like the Maldives, Mauritius, Fiji and other countries which have people of Indian origins," she said.
The producer of the famous The Dirty Picture film said "Bollywood was India's soft ambassador to the rest of the world".
"I want to come to Fiji soon, but first you must come to my studio in Mumbai," Ms Kapoor told Mr Karan.
She was amazed that Hollywood films like Annaconda and Castaway were shot in Fiji.
"Wow, those are big ones," Ms Karan said.
She was also happy with the salusalu (garland) presented to her at the High Commission.
"I really love this, it's beautiful," she said.
The High Commission also gave her a piece of masi, which she promised to treasure.
The older generations of film goers will remember Ms Kapoor's father Jeetendra Kapoor, an actor and television producer.
He was known as 'Jumping Jack' among his fans because of his dancing skills. He was also one of the most talkative and fastest dancing actor in Bollywood.
Her brother, Tushar Kapoor, is also a Bollywood actor and will be featuring in her new film.
Ms Kapoor was in Delhi for the launch of Kya Super Cool Hain Hum - which simply means "How Super Cool Are We?".
