MUSKET Cove Island Resort and Marina's unwavering commitment to meeting guests' needs and service delivery saw the Mamanuca-based holiday haven being awarded Trip Advisor's prestigious Certificate of Excellence.

Satisfied travellers gave the Malololailai Island retreat a big thumbs up by consistently recommending the resort on the Trip Advisor website.

Resort general manager Olivia Mavoa said the award from the world's most popular travel monitor was high praise indeed for a management team made up of locals and the outstanding service commitment made by her staff.

"We are thrilled with this award as only the very best in the business in the world is awarded with this Certificate of Excellence.

"This is testament to our commitment in ensuring we meet travellers' expectations and delivering the best of service to all our guests irrespective whether they have travelled from abroad or locally to holiday with us," Ms Mavoa said.

"Musket Cove Island Resort has built its reputation on personalised service with genuine warm Fijian hospitality.

"We are humbled with the accolade and having travellers consistently commend our property with the highest praise.

"And being recognised for our four rating is an exceptional achievement for our team, which is fully localised with no expatriates in the management team," she said.

Musket Cove Resort, Fiji's oldest resort company and fully Fijian-owned was developed by the pioneer of Fiji Tourism, Dick Smith.

The resort is a popular escape for couples and provides a picture postcard location for visitors.
