ELECTRONIC banking just got easier for customers of a particular commercial bank following the launch of a first of its kind credit facility for Fiji.
Bank of South Pacifics SMS Banking Service now allows customers to make credit card repayments from their respective bank accounts via mobile phones.
BSP country manager Kevin McCarthy said the initiative was a milestone in the history of banking services in Fiji and confirmed that the new service was earmarked as an appreciation for BSPs credit card customer loyalty.
As it is, credit card customers receive a monthly statement highlighting transaction history for single or multiple credit card accounts.
The new service puts to an end the previous practice of waiting until the end of the month for a bank statement, Mr McCarthy said.
