THE Nadi soccer side yesterday scored an upset win over Labasa in front of a home crowd jam-packed into Subrail Park.
The jetsetters played against the northerners during the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League fixtures at Labasas Subrail Park.
Nadis Jese Katiadugucagi opened scoring when he scored the only goal in the 38th minute of the first spell after finding his way through the tough Babasiga Lions defence.
Despite applying pressure and some tough defending from Nadi, the Lions failed to find the equaliser as the visitors from the jet-set town dominated throughout the entire match.
Nadi assistant coach Eroni Matanitobua described the match as satisfactory.
Matanitobua said they expected the win because they had prepared well for it.
We are not only targeting to win this match but also the game against Savusavu tomorrow (today), he said.
We hope to gain six points from the two north matches and I thank the boys for their good performances.
We will continue to give our best shot and we want more people to come and support us.
Labasa coach Epeli Levaci also thanked his boys for a good game.
We are satisfied with their performanc and we hope they will improve in our next match.
