POLICE are appealing for information from the public after the body of a 31-year-old iTaukei man was found along the Kings Rd at 3am yesterday morning. Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the deceased was found at Tavarau, Ba.
She said police suspected the man was a victim of a hit-and-run accident.
"The post-mortem (examination) which was carried out today (yesterday) revealed the deceased died as a result of injuries that were caused by a motor vehicle accident," she said.
"According to the victim's family, the last time they saw him, he was on his way to a birthday party.
"Anyone with information is requested to contact their nearest police station or community post or call 919 or 917," the police force spokeswoman said.
