THE Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji has appointed a new national co-ordinator to head the organisation.

Joape Kuinikoro, who was Post Fiji Limiteds chief executive officer until recently, is the new appointee to the position.

We are very pleased to have a person of Mr Kuinikoros overall experience and aptitude joining FENC Fiji in this very important role, FENC Fijis board of trustees chairperson Peni Moore said.

While performing various managerial roles in the private sector, Mr Kuinikoro has also been dedicating his time on voluntary community work.

FENC Fiji is a non-political, non-government organisation with the sole focus on the poorest of the poor in Fiji.

It was officially launched in February 2010 and by the end of last year, it extended assistance to about 1000 children from the poorest of poor families in the country.
