A GROUP of 10 people spent an evening preparing dinner and educating children at an orphanage.
Group spokeswoman Lisette Varea said the children at St Christophers Home in Nakasi were delighted to participate in a careers expo last Saturday.
She said a volunteer made a presentation on oral health and hygiene.
The group made a cash presentation of $2210, lovo packs and money from four companies Fuji Xerox, Wreckamend, Gremm Chemicals and CAS Scales/Granville, whose staff members made up the volunteers.
She said this was part of their corporate responsibility, adding the community contributed towards business and in return the companies wanted to give back to the community.
Ms Varea said they made a presentation of backpacks and stationery, two boxes of apples and sanitary packs.
She said the group had three activities planned for the year, with a picnic confirmed for the children at the home for the second term holidays.
