A Nadi school is preparing to stage a variety concert this Saturday to raise funds for an assembly hall for students and also put smiles on the faces of people who have suffered from the recent floods.
Sangam Sadhu Kuppuswamy Memorial College is gearing up for the concert which promises non-stop entertainment from various ethnic groups designed to entertain people from all walks of life.
The concert has four purposes to expose students skills and talents, it will provide a break from studies, bring smiles those affected by the floods and at the same time fundraise for the much needed assembly hall. Students will be staging host of items from dances to drama, meke, instrumental displays and songs, said school manager Bala Dass.
He said as the school had expanded over the years management had found it difficult to gather the rising number of students under one roof for weekly assemblies, parents day meetings and extra curricular events.
Chief guest will be principal education officer west Albert Wise.
