EVEN evangelists are now using mobile phones.
The Peceli Fijian Methodist Church in America launched its new mobile application at the Samabula East Methodist Church hall last Saturday.
The application will allow church members and viewers worldwide access live video broadcast of sermons on their mobile phones and other mobile devices. The application is also powered by the Apple and Android markets.
Methodist Church general secretary, Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu said it was time to change the methods and strategies of evangelism, using the new technology. It is now a tool for the fulfilment of the great commission, he said.
Church services held in Fiji will be broadcast live to those living abroad. The launch was broadcast live and viewed by 13,000 viewers worldwide.
The application is free and can be used on Smartfones, iPhones and iPads.
