GOLD COAST - A 13-year-old boy has been charged with the armed robbery of a taxi driver near Cairns in far north Queensland, as well as other crimes.
The boy is accused of threatening the taxi driver with a knife at Bentley Park just south of Cairns about 5.45am (AEST) on Friday.
Police will allege he ran off with cash and the cabbie's car keys.
The boy, who has been charged with robbery with violence, as well as break and enter and unlawful use of a motor vehicle from unrelated incidents, will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
