THE Constitutional Consultation process will commence for the Nadroga-Navosa Province next week.

This was confirmed by assistant roko tui Nadroga Rusiate Raidaveta at the provincial council meeting held at Talenavuruvuru in Nadroga yesterday.

He said after the presentation made by the office of the Prime Minister on the consultation, council members had requested for the team to start consultations in the province.

"We are glad to know that government is moving ahead with its initial plan of moving the country forward and we are waiting in anticipation for the team to arrive next week. The team will start in the district of Nadrau next Monday and this is an opportune time for the villagers and farmers to voice their say on the constitutional consultation findings.

"We have been assured by government at the meeting that everyone will have the liberty to air their views on the new constitution."

He said the council had considered increasing their education budget to cater for the increasing number of students enrolling at tertiary institutions around the country.
