A wedding without one's relatives is not a complete wedding according to a couple who travelled from England to tie the knot in front of friends and families in Nadera, Nasinu.
Lance Corporal Maria Ravuwai and her husband Sergeant Sunia Vatunilagi tied the knot at the Nadera Catholic Church on Saturday afternoon, much to the delight of Ms Ravuwai's mother, Melania Ravuwai.
Mrs Ravuwai said the couple only informed her of their intention to marry two weeks ago and had since spent her time organising everything as quickly as possible.
"It wasn't really hard to get the wedding organised and everything seemed to just fall in place. It was a wonderful wedding," she said.
"Maria is the talkative one out of my five daughters and with five boys as well we have a big family. I'm so happy she's moving on. It means I've done my duty as a parent even without her father who passed away some time ago."
