Rain to ease: Weather office

EXPECT rain in some parts of Fiji to ease today.

The Fiji Meteorology Service said people living in the interior and eastern parts of the larger islands, Lau and Lomaiviti should expect cloudy periods with some showers. Fine weather has been forecasted for other areas, apart from possible evening showers.

Yesterday, a heavy rain warning remained in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Viti Levu, Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

The weather bulletin at 3.30pm yesterday said a strong wind warning was in force for land areas of Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

Tomorrow's outlook include cloudy periods with some showers about the interior and eastern parts of the larger islands while it should be mostly fine elsewhere.
