MARKET vendors will soon have the means to learn and conduct business in the workplace.
This, as the United Nations Development Programme announced its plan to establish a Market Learning Centre in Rakiraki where the focus will be learning, communication, education and information at the marketplace. The UNDP said in a statement the centre was expected to provide significant opportunities for market vendors to learn and conduct business at their workplace.
The Rakiraki market is one of the four Pacific regional pilot markets for the United Nations Millennium Market initiative alongside that of Honiara City market in the Solomon Islands, the ringroad market of Shefa Province in Vanuatu and the market in the Highland Province in Papua New Guinea.
