THE Life Insurance Corporation of India has opened a new office in Savusavu to cater for policyholders in the area.
LICI general manager Krishnan Narasimhan said customers in Cakaudrove could save travelling costs to Labasa as the new office was accessible to them.
"We wanted to take our services nearer to our customers and also the office will serve the interests of other people in the area," Mr Narasimhan said.
"There are about 3000 customers in Cakaudrove and the number seems to be increasing daily. People don't have to travel to Labasa again to update themselves with the progress of their policies instead, the office is right at their doorsteps."
Mr Narasimhan said their business in Vanua Levu had grown well over the years, adding they were confident of maintaining the positive result.
"We have a lot of customers in the north and we thank them for choosing us as their insurance company," he said.
