THE Nabouwalu Hospital yesterday received cartons of medical supplies given by friends living in the US.
Cartons of facial wash and cream, blankets, hand immobiliser, plasters, auto clavier machines, surgical equipment and other medical equipment were part of the gift.
Hospital board secretary Lemeki Qalibau said the gift came from the US-based Savusavu Community Foundation, Direct Release International and was dropped off at the hospital by Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort from Savusavu.
"We are indeed blessed to have such good people all the way in America who have the people of Bua in their hearts.
"This is the fourth donation of medical supplies from the group and the patients in Bua are indeed blessed to have received all these medical equipment," he said.
Mr Qalibau said the gifts would be used by patients.
"The donation has continued to upgrade our medical supplies especially with the equipment that is commonly used in America.
"Nabouwalu is getting advanced now with the medical equipment through the donations so we are indeed grateful to the donors in America."
The hospital also received linen and pillows from the women of Bua.
