THE Sigatoka Police rugby club is back in the Nadroga Rugby Union club competition after a lapse of eight years.
The team was reformed this season and is coached by one of Fiji's rugby stars Ifereimi Tawake.
Earlier in the week, the side received a timely gift from famous sporting sponsor, Raymond Singh's Islands Electric with a new set of jersey's and rugby balls.
Team manager Usaia Sauvakacolo said the gift was on time before the start of the Nadroga club competition.
"We are so grateful to our sponsors, Islands Electric for donating the jersey's to us. This sponsorship has motivated us to give our best shot this year as it is the first year we will be playing in the Nadroga club competition after a lapse of eight years," he said.
"We know that Islands Electric have been sponsoring provincial teams in the past. We thank them for agreeing to come down to club level and sponsor us."
The team is laced with top Nadroga players like Seremaia Naureure, Mesulame Soga, Iliesa Ratuva, Setefano Samoca, Jonetani Ralulu, Simeli Koniferedi, Jonetani Ratu, Manoa Tamaya and former Fiji sevens skipper Etonia Naba.
Sauvakacolo said they had recruited all their officers to represent the club.
