NEWLY-appointed Ministry of Youth and Sports permanent secretary Joseva Sania has called on his staff in Vanua Levu to raise their level of service.
Mr Sania, who met the workers last week, reminded them of the initiatives and changes in place within the ministry.
According to the Information Ministry, Mr Sania travelled to villages and visited the ministry's training centres.
"The ministry has a lot of initiatives and changes in place and I hope you are ready to work along for the betterment of youth and sports in our country," Mr Sania said.
Northern youth officer Amele Navunicagi said that they were glad to be visited by Mr Sania.
While in the division, Mr Sania visited the two training centres รน Naleba Training Centre in Labasa and Naqere Training Centre in Savusavu.
He noted the need for maintenance and development work at the centres.
Mr Sania ended his two-day visit at Vunivesi Village in Wailevu, Cakaudrove, by officially closing a week-long sports outreach organised by his ministry.
