FIJI audiences have been hailed by international performers at the FIJI Showcase 2012 as the best they have ever worked with.

This came as FIJI Showcase 2012 closed its doors last night marking one of the best instalments for the annual event, with over 90,000 people passing through the Vodafone Arena gates.

Total Event Company manager Loretta Jackson said the international entertainers who took to the stage at FIJI Showcase 2012 had the time of their lives in Fiji.

"Fraser Hooper's boxing show has been one of the most watched performances we have ever had here at FIJI Showcase and all the performers have been great," she said.

"Altogether they performed 128 shows over the nine days and its not easy but they've done it all with a smile."

She said response from exhibitors at the FIJI Showcase had been amazing with many either matching or exceeding their sale targets. Ms Jackson said exhbitors like P. Meghji and TFL had done very well during the FIJI Showcase thanks to the crowds.

"We are noticing now that people come prepared for FIJI Showcase, they mark the dates and save up for it, everyone comes in and wants to score on great deals and this is what they get here."

Ms Jackson said the crowd flow had been constant over the nine days in spite of the weather not being as agreeable as in previous years.

"This year we have had some of the worst weather and the best crowds, which is really quite ironic but it shows the pulling power of the FIJI Showcase," she said.
