BA and Lautoka are gunning for the Commissioner of Corrections Trophy when the Western Division hosts the Warden Wives Volleyball tournament at the Natabua Prison ground next month.

Sixteen teams from the 10 corrections institutions will participate at the tournament.

Fiji Corrections Service assistant public relations and western media officer Semesa Uluiviti said the Western Division would be hosting the tournament for the first time.

He said the western teams would not want the other teams to win the tournament.

"Here in Lautoka and Ba, preparation is high and we can feel the spirit of momentum towards the event. The women have turned up in numbers during training sessions every afternoon. The team that will win this tournament will walk away with the Commissioners trophy," Uluiviti said.

"This is the first time the Western Division is hosting the tournament so we will not let go of this trophy so easily."

He said prizes would be given to the best player, best coach, most disciplined player and most disciplined team. The tournament is scheduled for June 9.
