Kontiki Stockbroking Ltd (KSB) is licensed by the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) as a Broker Dealer and is a member of the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPSE).
Established in 1998, KSB's services include the following:
nBuying and selling securities listed on the SPSE. Investors can choose between 18 different securities offered by the 17 companies that are listed on the SPSE.
nBuying and selling shares listed on selected overseas equity markets, including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, ANZ, Westpac and Origin,
nInvestment in local managed funds Fijian Holdings Unit Trust and the Unit Trust of Fiji.
nTrading on KSB's over the counter facility which currently quotes four companies: Fiji Gas Company Ltd, Data Bureau Ltd, Blue Lagoon Cruises Ltd and Yatu Lau Company Ltd.
KSB's Manager Broking, Raghni Khatri, said that KSB also provides services beyond market trading. "We provide advice to clients and help them to plan their investment portfolios and in this regard we are always happy to sit down with current and potential clients to discuss their needs".
Broker representative Elenoa Kaloumaira said that another role played by KSB was keeping clients abreast of market developments. "Our publications include research reports on listed and unlisted companies, a weekly newsletter called the Kontiki Weekly and a Daily Kontiki Trading Report which summarises market activity for the day. We also produce First to Market reports which cover newly-released financial reports of listed companies".
KSB has been involved in most of the listings on the SPSE since its inception, being involved as lead broker and sometimes underwriter. More recently, the Company was lead broker to the public offer and listing of Future Forests Fiji Ltd and BSP Convertible Notes Ltd.
