FIJI is preparing for one of the biggest international conferences of the year, which will commence in just two weeks.
According to a statement, for the first time, Fiji will host the International Standards Organisations (ISO) Committee on Consumer Policy (COPOLCO) meeting. The Minister for Industry and Trade Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said consumers, standard makers and public policy experts from around the world would converge on Nadi for the four-day ISO/COPOLCO meeting to be held from 14-18 May, at the Sofitel Fiji Resort.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will open the Plenary Sessions of the ISO/COPOLCO meeting. ISO/COPOLCO is the International Committee that deliberates on consumer issues, with the aim of influencing standards work to the benefit of all consumers.
