An island community has been rocked by a police investigation into a paedophilia ring. an expert is expected to be sent to Taveuni to help in the investigation. Police said yesterday the suspect in the paedophilia case arrived on the island three weeks ago.

Page 1: Qantas buys Air Pac shares
Cabinet yesterday approved the sale of government shares in Air Pacific to Qantas Airways for a total of $26 million. The 28.55 per cent shareholding attracted a purchase price of $3.60 per share. The sale has reduced Government shares in Air Pacific to 51 per cent and increased Qantas's equity in the airline to about 46 per cent.

Bari out, Satala joins 7s team
Manasa Bari is out of the national sevens team preparing for the Air France and Jerusalem Sevens on May 20-21 respectively for his unprofessional attitude. Replacing him and due to join the team at camp at the Peninsula International Hotel today is Vili Satala.
