THE business community in Vanua Levu has been urged by the Strategic Framework for Change and Co-ordinating office to familiarise themselves with the People's Charter.
The message was related to a group of business people during a meeting in Labasa yesterday.
Media liaison officer Kisoko Cagituevei said: "Our opinions and suggestions will be considered in the making of the new constitution and it is therefore important we understand the 11 pillars of the People's Charter.
"The charter will help us give better suggestions and ideas for the new constitution because it contains what the government propose to achieve.
"Also, we will be able to provide better and quality services to the public as required by the charter."
Mr Cagituevei said the government was committed to develop the north and needed the support of the business community.
"We are appealing to the business community to help us with our plans because this will definitely improve the standard of living for the people," he said.
