THE Tavua rugby side is preparing for another uphill battle in the fifth round of the Digicel Cup competition.
The men from the gold town hosts Naitasiri at Garvey Park and team coach Jonetani Savuti said his team would be a changed side compared to the one lost 9-29 against Nadroga at Lautoka's Churchill Park last weekend.
"In that game (against Nadroga), we lost concentration on our game plan as players did not make the right decisions," Savuti said.
"But this weekend we will be facing another giants Naitasiri and our game against Nadroga has shown the changes I need to make for the game against highlanders," he said.
He said there were some injuries in the squad and a report by the doctors would see positional changes being made.
"Also we will need to work on our strength especially in the forwards and we need to generally lift our fitness level if we are to match a team like Naitasiri."
Savuti said he was working on a program rotating players over each weekend on games but he said the program was expected to show results from round six of the Digicel-sponsored tournament.
"This is the final week of the program trial phase, we have a 40-member squad and we have been rotating players over the past four weeks of competition.
"In these five weeks we had been building combinations and moving players around to see where they fit best and I think it is starting to bear fruit.
"But it is expected to kick in from round six so this round we will have the final hit-out and the players will have to give their best performance on the field," he said.
Savuti has called on the home crowd to be present at the ground to support Tavua.
Tavua is currently on 11th place on the Digicel Cup points table with zero points as they have lost both the games so far.
The Tavua versus Naitasiri match kicks-off at 3pm on Saturday.
