NINE clubs have registered to participate at the Lautoka Men's and Mixed Netball Association club competition this season.
The latest club to join the association is the teacher's team which is made up primary and secondary school teachers from around Lautoka. The Lautoka club competition started last month.
LMMNA secretary Akuila Cama said they would love to develop the sport.
"This year the association really will love to develop the sport and raise fund as the association is kept alive by young, talented but mostly unemployed youths whose love for netball have brought them this far," Cama said.
He said the support from the community would boost the performance of the team.
Meanwhile the LMMNA is bidding to host the Inter District Championship (IDC) this year.
"We are bidding for Lautoka to host the IDC as this will ease the burden of expenses for West associations."
