NADI rugby is looking to register its first win in the Digicel Cup competition and attract the interest of its fans.

The Iliesa Tanivula- coached side is yet to win a game from two matches and faces an unpredictable Ovalau team on Friday at Lautoka's Churchill Park.

Nadi lost to Tailevu and Northland and is out to register a win.

Nadi Rugby Union secretary Noa Neivalu said they wanted to win to attract their fans.

"We know that Ovalau is not an easy team. They are hard to beat and we are not underestimating them in this game. We have to do the basics right, improve on our discipline and try to play the full 80 minutes of the game, as this is the only way we can win the game," he said.

Coach Tanivula earlier indicated the lack of match fitness in the side after going down to Northland a fortnight ago. Neivalu said they had worked hard to lift their fitness. He said they would not underestimate Ovalau.

"This is a crucial game for us. We need to win this game for our rugby fans. We have not won any games so far. We will give our best shot in this match," Neivalu added.
