PRIMARY school students of flood affected areas in the Western Division will receive school packs when the second school term commences.
It follows a presentation of 131 school packs, complete with exercise books, pencils, pencil cases and school bags in Suva yesterday where the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited purchased school stationery from Post Fiji Limited.
The presentation of school packs in Suva yesterday reflect the continued partnership between ANZ and Post Fiji Limited.
The school packs will be delivered free of charge via Post Fiji Limited's courier service to schools in the Western Division. The packs are valued at $5000 and cost $38 each.
ANZ chief financial officer Ravendran Achari said this was part of the bank's $100,000 contribution to the flood relief assistance scheme where $25,000 was given to the PM's Relief Fund, $25,000 to Red Cross Society of Fiji, $25,000 to other stakeholders and $10,000 for the distribution of food ration through the Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji. "The 131 packs are for students who can rightfully and happily go back to school in the new term," Mr Archari said.
