THE Holiday Inn has organised a special treat for mothers this Mother's Day with a 'Hats Off to Mothers' theme this May 13 at its Vikatoria Restaurant.
Holiday Inn will serve a buffet lunch offering a wide selection of appetisers, soups, lovo, hot selection of meals, dimsum basket, pizza, carvings of roast lamb, beef in yummy sauces and desserts for Mother's Day.
In their theme 'Hats Off to Mothers', Holiday Inn is encouraging all mothers to come wearing their fancy hats and there are prizes to be won for the best hat.
"We want the ladies to come in dressed up, wearing fancy hats for this special occasion," Holiday Inn's Executive Chef Philippe Garand said.
"Rarely do we have women in Fiji wearing hats so we want to encourage them to create and wear their most fancy hats."
The winner will receive a weekend getaway for two at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa.
"Not only will they have a delicious lunch from our buffet menu, but they can come looking good and who knows, one of them could go home with the prize for the weekend getaway."
Holiday Inn's Business Development Manager, Nancy Tua'toko says their Mother's Day lunch is the second biggest event in their calendar compared to their Christmas lunch.
"We always have a record number of customers so we encourage people to make reservations now," she said.
Chef Philip will also bake a special Mother's Day cake, a Baileys Chocolate Mousse from May 11 for three days.
"This is a really good value for money deal with good food, great atmosphere and at very affordable prices," he said.
The 'Hats Off to Mothers' luncheon buffet is only $56 per head, with kids below 12-years old at $31.
