GOVERNMENT departments will be represented at district meetings around Vanua Levu, says Commissioner Northern Lieutenant Colonel Ilai Moceica.
He assured the Bua Provincial Council of this at the council meeting in Nabouwalu.
Lt-Col Moceica's comments follow queries from council members about whether government officials should be part of district meetings.
Lt-Col Moceica told the meeting government reps should be at district meetings to answer the villagers' queries.
He said it was important that villagers be informed of government's development plans.
