VINYL Burns, an international entertainer is set to take the 2012 Fiji Showcase by storm with his variety of acts and wants Fijians to know he's in it for the fun.

Total Event Company manager Loretta Jackson said entertainment continued to be Fiji Showcase's biggest drawcard and would be taken up another level this year with the inclusion of several international top class performers.

"We have always tried to ensure that the entertainment at the event is new and innovative and this year is no different," Ms Jackson said. "The international performers will be coming with a range of different skills from hand to hand acrobatics, magic and comedy to an all out boxing show.

Fraser Hooper's Big Bad Boxing Show is a first for Fiji particularly as it is a combination of boxing and comedy.

"Additionally, there will be a lot of focus on local talent and entertainment with Fiji's top i-Taukei bands, the Navtarang Bollywood Dhamaka Show and the FM96 Talent Quest are some of the stage activity that visitors can look forward to." Mr Burns who promises to be something "you have never had the opportunity to see live on stage in Fiji" does it all from music to magic, to side-splitting comedy.

A statement from The Total Event Company stated: "If you took Neil Diamond, Harry Houdini and Jerry Seinfeld and threw them together, Vinyl Burns would be the result."

"His shows are a turbo-charged Ferrari roaring down the highway at 100 miles per hour with all of us on board as willing passengers.

"It is actually quite difficult to put what he does into words for the simple reason his performances really do break all the barriers. "You have to be at Fiji Showcase 2012 itself to see him in action."

The statement said Mr Burns liked to think of himself as a 'man of mystery' and described himself as a man of good looks, charisma, charm and easy vibes and described himself as a diplomat, a cultural icon and a figurehead and a figurine on the giant porcelain chess board of pop culture.

With nine days left until Fiji Showcase opens, the statement said people could expect to be amazed when Mr Burns takes the stage at Fiji Showcase 2012 as he had been performing for many years.
