Companies ready for the trade show

Asco Motors, organisers of the 2012 Bua Tradeshow to be held in Nabouwalu at the end of this month, confirms that companies are ready for Bua 2012

The trade show will be staged during the Bua Provincial Day celebrations held from April 25-27 at the Bua Provincial Grounds. Organisers Asco Motors since 2007 said they worked very closely with the Bua Provincial Council to ensure that the trade show objectives are met and outcomes beneficial for all stakeholders.

The people of Bua can expect some great deals on various products and services, and some informative and educational product awareness presentations from the companies participating including Vodafone, Sky Pacific & Fiji Television, Goodman Fielder & Crest Chicken, Kasabia's Hardware, Fijian Holdings Unit Trust, Fiji Development Bank, Merchant Finance, Bank of the South Pacific, Shah's Amusement Rides and Asco Motors.

Asco Motors national marketing manager Ms Elenoa Korovulavula-Mule says there is an increase in the number financial institutions participating at this year's tradeshow.

"This is great because the people of the Bua province who engage in commercial agriculture and fishing will get first hand information on investment options and financial packages available to them," she said.

"Asco Motors will be featuring specials on their Yamaha range of power and marine products and we will also be conducting a Yamaha service clinic, so outboard owners, we urge you to come down to Nabouwalu during the tradeshow to get your outboards serviced. Plus specials on our range of Bridgestone tyres and a couple of pre-owned Hiluxes and four-wheel-drives.

Bank of the South Pacific's Microfinance Manager Mr Isikeli Rokovui says, "the drive for them will be to get more people to open new BSP accounts, particularly, for individuals and groups like clubs, associations. "We have Microfinance Accounts, which are passbook accounts for villagers which they can use to deposit or withdraw at their nearest Post Office which will either be at Nabouwalu, Lekutu, Daria and Namalata," he said. "We will also be conducting Financial Literacy Training and provide consultations for the people of Bua".

Kasabia's Regional Manager Central Mr Anand Muni Kamaran says they will be displaying and selling wide range of products from farming tools, plumbing products, basic building materials and a limited selection of electrical products. "And we will have some wonderful specials for the people of Bua at this year's Bua TradeShow," he said.

Fiji Development Bank's Manager Customer Relations & Business Development Ms Sylvia Low says they will be promoting renewable energy like solar, Pico Hydro, bio-gas, bio-diesel to name a few. "Government has set a target of 90 per cent conversion for all fossil fuel based energy sources to renewable energy by 2020 and for any individual or business interested in adopting or converting to the use of renewable energy, we can finance it," she said.

Merchant Finance's Manager Rural Business Mr Laitia Navunigasau, says they will be introducing their new Rural Credit/Rural Lending product in Bua. Rural Credit is a convenient financial solution for their large rural populous and is tailor-made to meet their needs.

Goodman Fielder's Marketing & Business Development Manager Mr Clifford Morris says they will be featuring and promoting Crest Chicken feed and Crest Day Old Chickens.

"We want to bring backyard farming closer to the people of Bua, especially as the province is proving to be a growing area of poultry farming," he said.

Fijian Holdings Unit Trust Sales & Marketing Manager Mr Sowani Tuidrola, says they will have officers on the ground who will be able to answer queries that the people of Bua may need to know about buying and selling units with Fijian Holdings Unit Trust. "For new investors, we request that when you come to the show, please bring your Vola ni Kawa Bula registration 'green' slip as you will need that to buy units. Our minimum investment is 500 units at 70cents per unit, so its FJD350.00 minimum," he said.

Vodafone's Manager Sponsorship & Public Relations Mr Liga Gukisuva says they've been partnering with Asco Motors since its inception, and have seen the increase in inquiries from the region every year. This in turn has given Vodafone the confidence in continuing to display and sell their products and services in the province each year.

Ms Korovulavula-Mule says Shah's Amusement and Rides will provide entertainment and rides along with confectionary and other goodies for the children of Bua for the trade show. Plus the Fiji Police Jazz Band will be entertaining the crowds who would like to showcase their dance moves.
