Kaila - YOUNG lads in Serua didn't waste time in getting a bit of exercise and practise with the oval ball for the Central Eastern Catholic schools games at the tfl National Stadium on Friday.
Kaila! caught up with the group of young boys on Tuesday at Wainiyabia Village in the province of Serua.
Says Joseph Nayacalevu, a youth in the village and regular guide up to tourist sites in the village boundary, "They have been training for the games for a long time - they seem to be enjoying the practise runs every afternoon.
"They've been having a lot of fun these days on the beach and the weather's been favourable for some running around," he said pointing to a lass darting to the try line.
One by one, their friends joined the game after changing out of their school uniforms.
They were quickly distracted at the sight of the Kaila! photographer with her nippy camera pointing in their direction.
At that instance, they couldn't help but make out various poses before continuing another kick-off on the sandy pitch.
