Erenio maintains lead in Times top player pick

NAVUA 1 REWA 1

3 points: Lorima Dau (Rewa) ù the skipper led by example setting few scoring opportunities and making some daring saves. He was undoubtedly Rewa's most hardworking player and was all over the field.

2 points: Pene Erenio (Navua) ù was very quick in setting counter attacks for the Navua side which resulted in one goal. He was superb in defence and denied Rewa some fine scoring chances.

1 point: Sheik Moshin (Navua) ù stood rock solid in the Navua goalmouth. He was always on the right spot to deny Rewa any chance to take the lead except for the late penalty, which he failed to judge.

LAUTOKA 2 SUVA 1

(Churchill Park: Reporter ZANZEER SINGH)

3 points: Simione Tamanisau (Lautoka) ù Had a grand game for the Blues making many fine saves. Showed his class as the number goalkeeper in the country by diving at the feet of the Suva attackers to collect the ball.

2 points: Ralph Sherwin (Suva) ù A talented striker with a lot of skill. Annoyed the Lautoka defenders whenever he had the ball but was unlucky not to score.

1 point: Edward Justin (Lautoka) ù Came on as a second half replacement and added sparked to the Lautoka attack. Displayed a lot of speed.

LABASA 2 SAVUSAVU 0

(Subrail Park: Reporter SERAFINA QALO)

3 points: Apisai Sesewa (Labasa) ù Fast and determined player. Missed some opportunities but did most of the hard work.

2 points: Kitione Kamikamino (Savusavu) ù Aggressive player, stood out in defence for the minnows

1 point: Nalinesh Reddy (Labasa) ù Always attacking the opponent, a very hardworking player.
