Ex-prisoners target crime

A GROUP of former convicts has joined hands for a good cause in their effort to reduce crime in the Western Division.

The Kingdom Harvest ministry formed by 10 former inmates ended its three-day evangelism rally at Saweni on Saturday night รน attended by former convicts, their families and community members.

President Pastor Samu Civo said the main reason for forming the ministry was to educate former convicts not to reoffend. He said more than 15 inmates confessed on Saturday.

"We are doing this to help our fellow inmates to stay on the right path and not to reoffend," Mr Civo said.

"Former inmates have been looked down upon by society and we know that God can give us a second chance that can lead us to prosperity and success.

"Most former inmates are left unattended once they leave prisons and this ministry is aiming to educate them to realise there are more good things after prison," he said.
