CAKAUDROVE villagers on Vanua Levu have improved the conditions of their cooking areas and toilets, a provincial inspection revealed.
Roko tui Cakaudrove Ro Aca Mataitini said inspection carried out so far in villages of the province had yielded positive results. The inspection that started early this year to improve sanitary and cooking facilities was to help fight typhoid.
"Inspection was carried out in every village we visited this year with photos taken and the villagers advised to improve facilities," Ro Aca said.
"We have seen improvements in our second round of inspection which is a positive change."
