Samisoni Nabilivalu
Sunday, April 15, 2012

CORPORAL Usaia Donu of the Fiji Police Force's Drugs Unit congratulated Makoi HART residents on there being no reported cases of marijuana possession or sale during an outreach program.

He told residents during the Nasinu Crime Prevention Committee-organised program that drug usage was a critical issue in Fiji.

He said he hoped to enhance their knowledge on the dangers of drugs through his presentation.

Cpl Donu focused on marijuana, the most common and easily available narcotic in the country and explained the different classes of drugs.

He told residents drugs were substances that changed the way the body functioned, in particular how the brain functioned and how it was absorbed by the body in the form of water, gas or even food.
